Never been to Las Vegas, but want to go, ALL ON A BUDGET? Vegas can be expensive if you don’t plan accordingly. Here are our top tips to save money when traveling to Las Vegas:
Off-Peak Season Travel:
Consider traveling during weekdays or during the off-peak season when hotel rates are significantly lower. Avoid major holidays and events for more budget-friendly accommodation options. For instance, during the off-season, on a random Tuesday on the Strip, you can get a hotel room as low as $10.
Book in Advance:
Plan and book your trip in advance to take advantage of early booking discounts on flights, hotels, and shows.
Stay Off the Strip:
Even though we love staying by all the action, accommodations off the Las Vegas Strip often offer more affordable rates. Explore hotel options in Downtown Las Vegas or consider an AirBnB/VRBO during your stay.
Food and Drink Specials:
Take advantage of food and drink specials at bars and restaurants for discounted drinks and appetizers. Many places have happy hours. Our favorite budget-friendly restaurant on The Strip is Ocean One Bar and Grille, where you can get a lunch meal for as low as $5.99 and get 3 cocktails for only $12.
Free Entertainment:
Las Vegas is known for its free attractions and entertainment. Enjoy the Bellagio Fountains, the Volcano Show at The Mirage, or the street performances on Fremont Street for a budget-friendly experience.
Gamble Wisely:
If you plan to gamble, set a budget and stick to it. Only take out what you are willing to spend and know what you are willing to lose. For us, we don’t gamble too much. We love playing the penny slots and enjoy getting the free casino drinks.
Water and Snacks:
Bring a reusable water bottle and snacks to stay hydrated while you are walking around Vegas, especially in the desert heat, especially if you are traveling during the summer. This is a great way to save on food and drinks while exploring The Strip.
